Qualifications and Experience
- Four (4) CXC subjects (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in a similar position.
- Basic knowledge of HIV/AIDS/STIs, Behaviour Change, Public Health and Health Promotion.
- Experience in attending nightclubs, bars and exotic clubs.

- Knowledge of Health Education/Promotion principles, practices and approaches
- Working knowledge of Group Dynamics
- Knowledge of principles and practices of Behaviour Change Communication
- Socio-Cultural Practices and their impact on health.
- Knowledge and understanding of the HIV/STI epidemic

Key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting face to face interviews with individuals and small groups to share the message of HIV/STI prevention, and assist them through the process of behaviour change
- Conducting community outreach interventions at assigned sites to promote rapid HIV testing and counseling and consistent condom use.
- Increasing the availability of condoms to individuals by establishing additional condom outlets or upgrading existing ones
- Organizing and participating in health education/promotion interventions initiated by the Ministry of Health, or individual groups or organizations approved by the MO(H) for the parish.
- Participating in health team activities carried out by the Health Department/HIV Unit at the Regional Office.
- Referring clients to health facilities for investigation and/or for treatment
- Preparing and submitting monthly reports of activities as required
